  Went to Lakeview to see a friend's baptism. Was disgusted by a large part of their sermon being dedicated to telling the congregation that they need money, referring to it costing $7mil "just to keep the lights on each year".. They then proceeded to show an in-house produced video, including special effects (literally fx magic sparkles as a Lakeview church member turned a beggars change cup into a bowl of rice), on 3 giant drop down projectors. The video focused on encouraging everyone to donate money, not food, to help feed the poor..
  In my experience, this church does not have a grasp on the basic principles of what a church is supposed to be. It appeared to be a for profit business more than anything else. I will not be returning to this church.

  My friend invited me there 8 years ago and I felt very welcomed. But you can't let your kids get loud during service.
